Six hectares to explore a solar possibility

La Lombardia offers a starting point for a solar conversation: an approximate area, an open commercial discussion and questions to investigate.

A defined starting point for discussion

The owners of La Lombardia are open to exploring a solar opportunity on approximately six hectares of their family property in Malchinguí, Ecuador. This is a starting area for discussion, not a surveyed project boundary or an approved development. The property remains an agricultural and family setting.

The distinction matters when approaching a possible counterparty. A land description can introduce an opportunity; it cannot establish a generating capacity, a connection point or a timetable. Those conclusions require work that this site does not claim to have completed.

What sort of proposal is welcome?

Lease, sale and partnership are open possibilities for conversation. None is presented here as the selected structure. A useful first proposal explains who would be involved, what they wish to explore and which assumptions they would need to verify before making a commitment.

It should also explain how the discussion would relate to the family’s continuing use of the property. What access would be needed? Which areas would be examined? How would agricultural activity, site visits and the owners’ decisions fit into the process? These are questions to agree on, not permissions granted by this article.

From an area to an assessment

A first exchange can identify the information needed about the land, electrical connection, project design and applicable requirements, and who would be responsible for obtaining it. No existing feasibility study, grid allocation, permit or financial result is promised. The approximate area should remain an explicit assumption until the relevant checks establish a firmer basis.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s farmer guide is useful general background for organizing questions about land and solar. Its U.S. programs and rules are not a statement of Ecuadorian requirements or this property’s eligibility.

Read the Solar opportunity introduction before requesting access to the private discussion area. An initial request starts a manual conversation with the owner; it does not reserve the land or create a commercial agreement.
